Verification of coral authenticity -

Corals are relatively shiny compared to other gemstones and can be slippery when taken by hand.

If the real coral is left in the blood, blood clots around it.

If you drop a drop of water on the real coral, the water will not flow.

Pouring hydrochloric acid over the original coral will cause foam to form on its surface.

Hydrochloric acid has no effect on black corals

When the real coral is put on fire, it burns and it starts smelling like burning hair.
