In this article, we are discussing Sri Sri Navagraha Stotram. This was the original Navagraha Stotram, and since then, the Navagraha Stotram has changed drastically as evolved by many mythological writers. The mythologists have changed the hymns in their own language by changing them completely.
Sri Sri Byasadeva wrote this hymn. Every day in the lesson all the sins caused by Navagraha are completely destroyed. Such is the nature of the scribes. It is obligatory to recite this hymn at the end of the morning prayers.
The new planets are Sun (Sun), Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter (Jupiter), Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. There are nine states in our life like the new planet. Sun – Tejastatva, Moon – Mental state, Mars – Blood, meaning and movement, Mercury – body and knowledge, Jupiter – knowledge, devotion and wisdom, Venus – enjoyment and instinct, Saturn – renunciation and cessation, Rahu – wealth and nature, Ketu – Danger and pursuit. In this hymn, there is improvement of conditions, gain of wealth, happiness and prosperity and peace. One praises the planet separately and many do. However, the hymns are mentioned in the scriptures in a long text about the great improvement of human beings. However, when reciting, one should first pronounce “om tatsat” or “byom tatsat” instead of “om” (Brahmins), byom (different from brahmanas) and “iti”. Otherwise there is a fear of shortening the life expectancy.
