Pearl is a biological gem because pearls are made in the depths of the sea.There is a special kind of creature in the sea which we know as snails, these snails make their home in the bottom of the sea. Pearls are said to be born when a drop of water falls on the face of a snail when the moon resides on Swati nakshatra.
Pearls are placed in a glass with water and if light flashes in the water, then the pearl can be considered as real.
If the pearl is not broken after soaking it overnight in a clay pot containing Cow urine, it will be considered genuine.
If the pearl is rubbed hard with grain straw, it will break into pieces if it is forged.
If there is no effect on the pearl then that pearl will be considered as real. After keeping the pearl pure cow ghee for a while, the real pearl will start melting the ghee.
